Total budget agreement (UN Trust Fund-Norway): $566,752 for the three-year duration of the project.

Under the purview of the Natural Resources & SIDS Branch of the Division for Sustainable Development of DESA, this project enables the Department to provide technical cooperation and policy advisory services to the Small Islands Developing States (SIDS). The advisory services are concentrated on assisting the SIDS in their continued implementation of the Barbados Programme of Action for the Sustainable Development of SIDS (BPOA) and in the ongoing negotiations on Climate Change. Assistance in the follow-up to the SIDS-Donor Conference held in February 1999 will also be provided.
