World Population Prospects, the 2012 Revision

The 2012 Revision of the World Population Prospects is currently being prepared. According to our production cycle, it will be released in early 2013.

The diagram below highlights our internal planning for some of the major deadlines and should inform clients of the World Population Prospects about the critical period after "Data Freezing" when the estimates and projections can no longer be changed due to the requirements of output production.

Obviously, all deadlines are highly tentative and may change at any time due to technical, administrative or other reasons.
