 Extended Dataset

Data files in database format (.CSV)
The following data sets are in ASCII comma delimited text files for import into databases or statistical packages. An ASCII version in fixed-format (.DAT) is also included with Stata/SPSS/SAS dictionary in .zip compressed files (to save storage space) and must be decompressed to use their contents. Do not attempt to load these data into spreadsheet software (such as MS EXCEL 2003 or older), because this would usually lead to a truncation of records (n > 65,536). - For spreadsheet use, see Pre-formatted standard data tables in Excel file format (.XLS) or MS-Excel 2007 and newer versions.

29 Nov. 2013 update: All .DAT files (included in respective .zip files with data dictionaries) were updated to correct corrupted data files generated using StatTransfer 12). All .CSV files available since July 2013 are correct, and are not affected by this update.

Includes data for all fertility variants and special scenarios (Instant-replacement-fertility; Zero-migration; Constant-mortality; No change) by major area, region and country.
