Estimates of urban population for all countries and areas of the world, as well as estimates of the population increase (or decline) in cities and urban agglomeration critically depend on the definitions and statistical concepts applied. The two EXCEL spreadsheets provide detailed documentation of both the data sources and the statistical concepts used for the estimations and projections.
