Based on a previous STS which undertook a preliminary needs assessment to examine the structure and function of current conflict management mechanisms, a project was formulated proposing activities to reinforce existing capacities and develop new capabilities through a range of activities, training workshops, institutional support mechanisms and other capacity-building measures. The project that was formulated is now being implemented under Project ROM00002 and is supported by this SPPD (Support Service for Policy and Program Development) which provides substantive inputs through national and international consultancy services to the project.
