Ten Year Framework -
Second Draft on Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP)

We are pleased to provide for public comment the Third draft input to the UN Commission on Sustainable Development on a 10-year framework of programmes (10YFP) on sustainable consumption and production.

Based on multiple substantive comments already received on this draft, the secretariat (UNEP and UNDESA) is issuing this Third Public Draft. Please provide your comments on the Second Public Draft by 7 June 2009.

This draft will be used as background to inform the Marrakech Process regional meetings and the Commission on Sustainable Development regional Meetings this fall.

Please share these two papers with your constituents and networks. We would like to have feedback from the broadest possible range of stakeholders on these papers.

Comments are welcomed on all parts of the draft input to the 10YFP, especially on concrete programmes that could be included in the 10YFP (See Annex 1). All stakeholder groups are invited to submit some specific activities or programmes that their group feel would be the most important in fostering the transition to sustainable consumption and production patterns.
