Consultative Status with ECOSOC

Consultative relationships may be established with international, regional, sub regional and national non-governmental, non-profit public or voluntary organizations. Read more

Designating representatives to the UN

NGOs in consultative status with ECOSOC may designate persons to represent them at offices of the United Nations. Designations must be made only by the Chief Administrative Officer or highest elected officers of the Organization. Read more

Friday 4 April, ECOSOC NGO Forum

The ECOSOC NGO Forum took place in the ECOSOC Chambers, United Nations Headquarters in New York, from 3-6 PM on April 4, 2008.

The forum serves as a preparatory event for the 2008 High-Level Segment of ECOSOC, and is an excellent platform for organizations in consultative status with the Economic and Social council to share their best practices and success stories.

ECOSOC Innovation Fair

In 2008, the AMR Innovation Fair will include a Civil Society Pavillon, where NGOs in consultative status with ECOSOC and their partners can display best practices in the field of sustainable development.
